| Anderson Artists Guild Meeting - The meeting was called to order by President Joe Holladay. Joe passed an envelope aroung to collect any Artist Trading Cards to be displayed on the Bulletin Board. Guest and New Members were welcomed. Joe offered congratulations to our members that were in the Arts Infusion Show at ANMED CAMPUS. - HONORABLE MENTION IN OVERALL PAINTING: SYBIL HILL.

Also Congratulations to our members that got in to the Arts Center Show. Joe said that he did not get a prospectus, but several of our members were accepted and also won awards. Also some of our artists were accepted in to Gallery 313 Display. Announcements: Belton Center For The Arts is having their Art Market and will be accepting art until the 15th. The Market will be held from the 16th until the 30th and will be in the upstairs of the Arts Center and will coincide with the Chili Cook-off. Al Stine will be featured in a Watercolor Display in Belton from May 8th until June 25th with a Reception on May 8th. Al will also be teaching a Watercolor Workshop at the Belton Arts Center May 15th and 22nd from 10:00 AM to 3:00PM. Members $120.00 Nonmembers $145.00. Belton Arts Center will also be having a Members Exhibition, Themed "Basically Black and White" July 10th through Aug. 27th with a Reception on July 10. Belton Arts Center Juried Show will be Sept. 25th through Nov. 12 with a Reception on Sept. 25. Joe said that he had asked Kimberly to move our Show forward this year so it would not coincide with the Arts Center Auction and he is still awaiting a reply. He suggested the month of October. Kimberly said she would check her calendar. Caroline Glenn will be doing our Demonstration at the May Meeting on Book Binding and there will be a $5.00 materials fee if anyone is interested in binding a Book.
Joe was very pleased to announce that the Anderson Artist's Guild will be sponsoring the First Annual Online Juried Arts Show. Russell Jewell will be the Juror for the Show. Lisa Price at the Calhoun has offered us the use of the Lobby for a Reception and Awards Ceremony of Friday, June 4th. We will be accepting Entrants starting immediately. Carlene posted a Prospectus on the Website in a JPEG File which you can download and print out. Submissions should be in 1024x768 Resolution and save them in a JPEG File which can be sent as an attachment to an E-Mail to Joe or Carlene. Make checks payable to the AAG. The Entrance Fee is $10.00 for l or 2 pieces, either 2D or 3D. 3D pieces may be photographed in 3 different angels and Brian will make them into a video. If any of you have trouble with getting your pieces photographed, Carlene has said that she will help and Joe will also be available to help. Joe will also try to find out if any of our photographers will be willing to help. The meeting was turned over to Myrl Garmet to introduce Lynn Felts. Lynn Felts became interested in mossaics while living in Australia. She had seen many examples of tile mosaics in the public buildings, parks and countryside there. Now her work has been selected in the Anderson Juried Shows. And is now being displayed in the Bay 3 Gallery at the Art Center. She continues to explore new designs by adding her mosaics with copper, other metals and beads. Everyone enjoyed her demonstration. Meeting was adjourned. Respectively submitted, Jean H.
